  This was an experience from a family member, sad to hear this: Here is the story that goes along with my prior post...This is why I will no longer deal with OHIO VALLEY ANIMAL CLINIC in Wellston!!... I have a friend that is a single mom and has been out of work for about 4 months. Her dog darted out the door when the kids were going to school and got hit by a car. Her leg got broken and she brought her in here. They put the dog in a cast and then decided that she needed to bring her back weekly. She informed them that she could not afford the outlandish bills weekly and when she missed an appointment they sent the dog warden out to her house. She was threatened with 90 days in jail for animal cruelty. The dog warden and the humane society have paid for her last 3 appointments and said they could no longer help her. She was told by the vet to bring the dog in today and she was to surrender her back to the pound because she doesn’t have the money. The cast was supposed to be for one month and now they have decided that they want this to continue for another month. They put one cast in improperly and it fell off the same day but charged again for their mistake. They want her to surrender their family dog to be readopted when the dog was on the euthanize list when she got it. She has been here all day balling and and her kids are devastated. Then had the nerve to tell me that they were doing what was best for the dog!! I am done!! She called yesterday to see if she could work out a payment plan and was told that they would call her back but no one ever did! I went and got all 3 of my dogs records and told them that I would not be back and that I would let everyone know what they are up to.
